A Life Shaped by Adventure, Family and Purpose

Nigel is an entrepreneur, author, environmental advocate, traveller, husband, father and storyteller. For more than three decades, he has helped build Aqua-Guard, a Canadian company whose technology protects water in more than 100 countries.

But many of Nigel’s greatest lessons have happened far from the office—travelling with his family, walking coastlines and mountain trails, learning from Indigenous elders, plunging into cold water with friends and occasionally finding himself well outside his comfort zone.

Protecting the World’s Most Precious Resource

Aqua-Guard has taken Nigel around the world, from remote coastlines to some of the world’s largest oil spills. Through the company, he discovered that business can be much more than a way to make a living—it can become a platform for protecting what matters and making a positive difference.

Learning Beyond the Office

Family journeys, difficult times, ancient teachings and quiet moments in nature gradually changed how Nigel understood success. He began to see that a meaningful life is not measured only by what we build, but by the relationships we nurture and the people we help along the way.

Sharing the Stories

Today, Nigel enjoys bringing people together and sharing the honest, sometimes funny stories that have shaped his life. His hope is that they encourage others to take their own leaps, strengthen their relationships and make a difference through their lives and businesses.
